I now understand the addiction some people have of knitting baby things. First, they are so small which makes the knitting go very, very fast. Second? They are so darn cute when you’re done you just want to eat them up.
Especially if the finished object looks like a pastry.
This is a very cute pattern which makes a very cute hat. I have to say, though, that I really got sick of making bobbles by the time it was finished. They weren’t awful, but my needles weren’t pointy enough to make the k3togs very easily. I had to resort to poking my smallest crochet hook through the stitches, grabbing the yarn and pulling it through and onto the right needle. This innovaton made the whole thing go much faster.
I can’t complain, though, because… well, look at it. It’s adorable. I can’t wait to see it on the recipient!

Ooh – that crochet hook idea is BRILLIANT.
That is so CUTE!
And I’m totally stealing the crochet hook idea – it might help me finish Madli in this lifetime (you have to knit 7 stitches together to form ‘nupps’ – which is a fancy word for ‘bobble’ – ohmiGod what was I thinking…)
