The potholders are finished!

Potholders #1 & #2

Pattern: Old Fashioned Potholders by Cathy at My Little Kitchen (Ravelry Project Link)

Yarn: Berroco Pure Pima, 100% Cotton, in Cantaloupe, Custard, Ambrosia, Norse Blue & St. Barts; on size 2.5 mm Clover Soft Touch crochet hook

Started: February 2010 Finished: March 2010

Potholders #3 & #4

Accidental Mods: I didn’t really notice that the original pattern called for crochet thread. So I completed almost as many rounds as directed, even though I was working with thicker yarn. Therefore, these are at the large end of the required 6-9 inches required by the swap. But I figure that’s good – a little larger potholder means more protection to the user, right?

Potholders #3 (Again) & #5

I really like these, and hope their recipients like them too! What a fun swap!

They came out great! And I’d definitely prefer a thicker, larger potholder over one made with crochet thread.
