Still Open, Still Grinning

First of all, thank you so much everyone, for the incredible support during the grand opening of Sweeter Lemon. Your kind words and enthusiasm have meant so much to me. I have to admit, I’ve been keeping this entire process on the down-low, in an effort to avoid a potential “what if I threw a party and nobody came?” scenario. But instead, you all showed up, ate the food, danced in the living room, and are hopefully having a really great time.

That metaphor was a little forced, wasn’t it? But you get the idea.

In other news, I’m so excited because the shop received a shout-out from one of my favorite local bloggers. Michelle at Consuming Louisville wrote a fantastic post that had me grinning like a fool this morning. I’m especially excited that she found the fleur de lis magnets – I couldn’t very well have a shop in Louisville without offering fleur de lis items, right?

(They’ve since been sold, but I’m getting more ready to post ASAP!)

Now that the initial nerves have died down, I think I’ll actually be able to get some non-shop related crafting done this week. Or not, because I have a lot of ideas for the shop that I can’t wait to work on. Either way, it’s fine with me!
