Easy Bake Quilt – Top Complete
On a gray, cloudy, yucky day, isn’t it nice to look at pretty soft spring colors?
My Easy Bake quilt top is finished! I cannot recommend this pattern enough for new quilters/piecers. (Is “piecers” a word? As in “one who pieces”? It is now.) It’s simple, does not require a major investment in fabric, but requires enough thinking (carefully matching points, color variation, etc.) to give it some challenge. Experienced quilters could probably finish the top in a day, it took me a week.
When I finished this top on Sunday afternoon, I showed Mr. M, who volunteered to hold it up for me while I took the photo. He had some help from Zelda Cat. You can see all of their feet at the bottom of the picture. I could have cropped them out, but I couldn’t resist the rare Mr. Martini sighting.
I’ve already placed an order for the backing and binding fabric. I’m so anxious for it to get here, so I can finish this quilt and get to use it! Those colors just make me so happy in the middle of this long snowy winter.
