Bliss Fat Quarterly Jelly Roll Quiltalong Quilt
Whoa, that title is really a mouthful, isn’t it? Yikes.
I finished another quilt! I love it even more than the last one.
Pattern: The first Fat Quarterly quiltalong
Fabric: Bliss by Bonnie and Camille for Moda, plus coordinating solids from a bundle by Pink Chalk fabrics
This is my second attempt at this quilt pattern, and this one turned out SO much better. Mostly due to having a little more experience under my belt – pressing, cutting, and trimming were all much more precise, and therefore everything came together much easier.
Since I used solid fabrics for the centers of the blocks, I had some decent sized scraps of the jelly rolls left over. I made a simple coin strip and added that to the back for a little extra oomph. The backing is Kona Azure.
Another first was the binding (which I believe is Kona Rich Red). I decided to try machine binding it down on both sides rather than hand stitching. I still need more practice, but it turned out all right. It certainly went faster than hand stitching, so I’ll give it points for instant gratification.
There we have it – another quilt done! We’re going to be nice and toasty this winter, aren’t we?

It’s so cheerful and pretty. I love it!
It turned out beautifully. I love this line of fabric and that pattern shows it up so well
Love it! I’ve made two of these and they turn out so cute, but it’s HARD to get those seams to match up! You did a great job!
