Three Lessons

November 12, 2011By 2 Comments

I learned three things today.

1. I should not go to Trader Joe’s on a Saturday morning at 9:30.

It wasn’t so much that it was crowded as it was filled with families who seemed to know each other. Which means a lot of stopping and chatting in very small aisles, inevitably right in front of the shelf I wanted to look at.

2. I should not go to a mall on a Saturday afternoon.

See point one, above.

3. It’s possible for a chain on a necklace to be nickel-free, but the clasp to not be nickel-free.

The back of my neck has a very itchy rash. I can’t see it, but Mr. M confirms it “looks awful.” Luckily, my short hair makes it easy to treat the rash with ointment. But it also means I don’t have any hair to hide it.

How was your Saturday?

Oh, that’s just totally unfair about the necklace. I hope it heals up fast!

don’t worry – no one that you haven’t specifically directed to is going to look at the back of your neck anyway! I have rashes all the time that other people remain unbelievably oblivious to!
