A Letter of Apology to my Mom on her Birthday
Dear Mom,
As I grow older, I think back on the things I did as a kid and cringe. How did you put up with me? I know that “kids will be kids,” but as an adult, I still can’t believe I did some of the things I did. Especially since you are a really awesome mom.
I mean, look at these kids:
That’s all six of us in a rare group shot. I’m the wee tot in the front.
That is one motley crew, right there. But you and dad kept us warm and fed and healthy and happy. Which is why it’s even harder when I think about those crazy things I did as a kid. Things that deserve an apology. So here it is.
Mom. I’m very, very sorry I used your pinking shears on my paper crafts when I was a wee child.
Seriously, what was I thinking? They get so dull! They can’t cut fabric! I’m cringing all over again. Thanks for not getting mad at me when you found out.
Happy birthday,
Love,
Susan

You were an adorable wee tot, and instantly recognizeable
I also owe my mom the exact same apology, which I now fully appreciate the value of.
Where in this post is the photo caption explaining the expletive way to remember your names???
Ha! I made this just for you:
