I collect vintage sewing baskets and notions. I love the little old woven baskets with the sweet floral fabric linings, especially when you find them full of treasures like zips, buttons and spools of cotton.

I am definitely a collector. It runs in the blood…my parents are big collectors. Too big I think sometimes. One of the more unusual things I collect are little handheld video arcade games from the 80s. They look like models of large arcade games and they only made a handful of different games. I’m only missing two and one of them is Donkey Kong Jr. It is fairly hard to come by in working condition with mint decals, but one day my collection will be complete. Until then I will have to settle for collecting more fabric.

Very random, but I’m first a knitter before I am a quilter. I collect all of the books by a designer Kim Hargreaves. I often have to pay for the additional tax for her books to make it to the States from England, but it’s worth it for the beauty of her patterns.

I don’t collect anything now, although we have a lot of things that are sentimental to me because they belonged to someone I loved who has now passed on (sister, mother, grandmother, father, our dear dog…).
When I was a kid, I used to collect elephants, and every once in awhile I’ll receive an elephant doodad from someone who knew me when I was ten.
We haven’t been able to have children, but have dogs, cats, and chickens, and people want to make me “the dog lady” or “the chicken lady” and give me things related to them. Sometimes it’s nice, sometimes it drives home something that makes me sad–like the t-shirt that said, “All of my children have fur”. I know she meant well, but still.

Currently you could say I’m a collector of fabric but I’ve also collected stickers, pens and pencils when I was a little girl.
I have collected stuffed animals my whole life. Unfortunately a lot of my childhood ones were destroyed in a storage flood. Luckily I have two babies to buy them for now.

Wonderful giveaway! Thank you for the chance! Very cute shop! It was my first time there! You’d think I collect fabric, but I don’t! I buy it, use it, buy some more! hmmm, though I have noticed I’m ‘saving’ quite a bit of scraps.
I used to collect salt and pepper shakers. But, not just any s&p shakers, they had to be a connecting pair..like a fruit basket. The basket is one shaker and the fruit the other. My favorite that started it all was a Mona Lisa.. Mona was a shaker and she sat in a frame that was the other shaker. Silly but fun! 
We are staying at my father in laws and he has a massive collection of model aeroplanes and it’s not kid friendly…

I apparently collect chickens, live chickens. I now have 30 adult chickens, and 40 chicks. The chicks are actually living in plastic storage totes in my closet right now due to the cold weather.

Well, my dad says I collect fabric and beads, but really those are just supplies (I mean, no one tells an artist they are collecting colored pencils or pain, right?). I collect netsukes, just the animal and mythical creature ones. Nothing expensive or really old, just the ones that catch my fancy.
I guess you could say I collect elephants. Some of my elephants – sculptures, bookends and quilts- one is a “Saggy Baggy Elephant” quilt, which is definitely one of my favorite ones.
