Get Creative in June!
I feel like I’m overwhelmed with creative opportunities this month!
30 Days of Creativity is kicking off today. The premise is simple – create something every day for 30 days. They’re suggesting that you create something, anything, start to finish each day of June. I have some ideas brewing, and have decided to play along. Want to join me? Check out the site for more info, or follow the hashtag #30DOC on Twitter to see what others are creating!
If you’re in the mood for some knitting fun, Through The Loops just published the first clue of this summer’s Mystery Shawl. Similar to her popular mystery sock patterns, each week you’ll receive a new clue for the shawl. I love Kirsten’s patterns, so I’m sure this will be gorgeous! For more info, check out her site.
I also received my June clue for the Dessert a Month stitch along from Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery. This month the dessert is bubble tea! I admit I’ve never tried bubble tea, but I’ve always been curious. These sweet little patterns are so fun to stitch. If you haven’t been playing along, there’s still time to catch up! Check out the Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery site for more details.
In the midst of all of this, I’m also participating in The Loopy Ewe’s Camp Loopy again this year. For the first challenge, I’m knitting an Anarami Shawl in Kauni yarn. While the pattern calls for five different color yarns, I’m hoping the long striping effect of the Kauni works just as well. I’m a little behind, and the deadline for the first project is June 27th. Fingers, get knitting!
Phew! So much to do, and only 30 days to do it! Well, not really, I’m still planning to be creative in July and beyond. But still! Who knew June was such a creative month?
