Behind the Scenes

October 18, 2012By

There is a lot of action going on behind the scenes these days that I can’t blog about quite yet. Mostly I’ve been working on new shop items that I want to debut when they’re all complete, not just a few at a time. I also finished my Trapeze shawl but it really needs a proper photo shoot. I also have a few gift items that I need to keep under wraps for now.

With so much happening behind the scenes, there’s not much I can really post about today. I set the blanket aside (I know, I know!) because I’ve had an itch for a scarf. A scarf! I typically can’t stand knitting scarves, but I knew I needed a new lighter-weight scarf that I can wear around my (cold) office this fall and winter.

Enter the Lace Ribbon Scarf from Knitty:

Lace Ribbon Scarf

I pulled some Dream in Color Starry from the stash to make this. It’s hard to see in this picture, but the yarn has tiny flecks of sliver running through it, which make it sparkle. It’s very pretty in person.

The photo shows about 3 or 4 of the lace repeats, and I have about 13 done at this point. My goal is 24, but we’ll see how much yarn I have. I’m averaging about a repeat a night since I’ve been so busy with other things, but I’m hoping some concentrated effort over the weekend will speed things along.

What about you? Working on any secret projects lately?
